Attention! The Choo-Choo is sold out for LibertyCon 28!
We've managed to go and run the Choo-Choo out of rooms this year. If you want to get on the waiting list in case one comes up, please email Brandy. DO NOT CONTACT THE HOTEL FOR THE WAITING LIST! Again, email Brandy.
We're working on trying to get something worked out with another hotel, but for now there are a few options you can look at (all of which are on the free CARTA shuttle line and very close to the Choo-Choo):
The Days Inn Chattanooga-Rivergate
Chattanooga Marriott Downtown
The Read House
There are quite a few other options available, but these are the closest as well as being pretty close to straight shots on the CARTA Shuttle to the Choo-Choo.
We will let you know as we get more information
In older news: Every year it's something different for those of us in fandom. This year one of the main differences will be the changes to our hotel due to their large renovation project. I'll highlight most of the changes below, but one of the main things is that we will not be using Building 2 or the pool outside of Building 2 for LibertyCon 2015.
Building 1 will become our "Party Building" instead of Building 2. We will still be using the indoor pool of Building 1, and are planning on a "Party Alley" area where room parties can open up with direct access from one to another (which is very reminiscent of the Comfort in East Ridge). If you're planning on having a room party, PLEASE LET BRANDY KNOW or feel free to let us know on our sign up page.
Building 2 is being converted from a regular hotel room building into long-term apartments for tavelling business class customers, which is why we will not be able to use it this year.
Building 3 will be our "Quiet Building" this year. Why Building 3 instead of the closer Building 1 you might ask? Very simply because more people want quiet rooms over running a room party (unfortunately!). With the added distance we will have a shuttle service running all weekend to transport anyone who wants, and we will also have Timmy running his taxi service throughout the weekend.
Also in case you're wondering about the layout of the hotel, or possibly how we're planning on using it this year you can take a look at this map. Just click here to get a full size one if you have any interest in printing it out before you get here.
Did you notice the red dots on the map above? Clicking on them will give you a bit of information on what will be going on at those locations!
