Jungle Tales of Tarzan

This book is scheduled for release on June 15th, 2015... just in time for LibertyCon!

There isn't a public description yet, but this article was taken from Wired:

Jungle Tales of Tarzan, a collection of twelve loosely connected stories written about the jungle lord by Edgar Rice Burroughs, is being adapted into a graphic novel. The graphic collection has been authorized by ERB, Inc., the Burroughs family corporation founded by the late author.

The book will be published by Sequential Pulp Comics and the stories will be written by Eisner-nominated comic creator Martin Powell, with artwork by Pablo Marcos, Terry Beatty, Will Meugniot, Nik Poliwko, Antonio Romero Olmedo, Mark Wheatley, Diana Leto, Steven E. Gordon, Lowell Isaac, Tom Floyd and Jamie Chase.

The tales focus on Tarzan's adolescent years, before his encounter with Europeans and with Jane, and deals with his first love, his struggle with the concept of God, battles with false priests, encounters with African tribes that he views as more alien than the great apes that raised him and other jungle adventures.

"Jungle Tales of Tarzan are character-driven, timeless adventure stories which I believe deserves to find a new and modern audience," Powell said. He added that the tales will be essentially as Burroughs wrote them, with a few tweaks for modern sensibilities.
