Jonna Hayden is a professional Costume Designer, clothing historian, and long-time SF geek. After many years of hiding in the Science Fiction section of the school library, she found her tribe when she attended Orycon 5. She builds shows for the Opera, Ballet, and anyone else who will pay her.
The return of a perennial favorite! Susan Brady will host a three hour session on costuming basics, with folks building their own costumes and taking their creations with them to wear at the convention. And concurrent with this event, we will also have Sit 'n' Stitch for the knitters and crocheters!

So many people want to make something they've seen in movies, anime, or art, but don't have any idea where to start. She will walk people through various images, examining the structure, layers, fabric content, and construction ideas so they can strategize on how to build their dream costume.
For the kids who love to dress up and show off we offer a great combo. Doc Osborn will introduce each child at the start of his Magic Show and then entertain them in his wonderful world of magic while judges award prizes (Judges: Jonna Hayden, Tamara Lowery, Susan Brady and Debi Chowdhury).
