Rocket City-native Chris Wade is a Scifi-fantasy artist who describes his art as “Ethereal” with whimsical and dark surrealist overtones, often pulling inspiration from dreams. His work explores internal landscapes featuring abandoned Space Age machinery presented in a dystopian, yet playful and dreamy aesthetic. He is also known for his hilarious, spacey pet portraits. He is a Chesley Award winner and a member of the IAAA. His work explores aspects of human nature, and serves as commentary on our internal condition, both individually and collectively, as well as a rediscovery of childlike wonder and our innate adventurous nature.
