Originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Mike Kupari is a veteran of both the Army National Guard and the Air Force. He worked as a security contractor in Qatar, and later served as an explosive ordnance disposal technician in Afghanistan. His experiences in Southwest Asia became part of the basis for the Dead Six series, co-authored with Larry Correia. He is a regular contributor to Breach Bang Clear, has written for Soldier of Fortune magazine, and has short stories in multiple Baen anthologies. He made his solo debut with Her Brother's Keeper which has been described as "Indiana Jones meets Buck Rogers". The sequel, Sins of Her Father, was released in March 2018. He currently lives in Arizona where the landscape inspires his upcoming post-apocalyptic novel. When not writing, he spends his time trying to maintain the peace between his dog and his bird.
