Author

Sophia Hansen, long-time author/editor with Havok Publishing, has just released her debut novel, Water’s Break, to critical acclaim.

She loves to write In Other Worlds, probably because she grew up in several and appreciates that unique perspective on not quite fitting into society’s boxes. Born on a tiny island in Alaska, growing up in the bustling cities of New York and Boston, and raising kids in Tennessee, she now writes and edits outside of Birmingham, AL, fueling up on fresh(ish) cups of coffee and crisp slices of bacon.

As an organic author, Sophia uses no hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides in her writing—unless it’s absolutely convenient—and is thankful that after 30+ years of marriage, seven children, and numerous pets, she can still fit into her high school earrings.
