Artist

Kendra Irwin is a tapestry and woven fiber artist and jewelry maker. Kendra has always been interested in various crafted arts such as calligraphy, embroidery, working with clay, drawing, painting, floral arrangements and making displays, among other things.

Kendra became interested in jewelry making in 2016 after a request to make a bridal earring and necklace set. In her jewelry she enjoys working with beads, stones, crystals and magical creatures like dragons and fairies, goddess figures, animals and the cosmos.

She became interested in fiber arts after taking a Basic Weaving class in April 2021. She enjoys using her craft in making woven displays of landscapes, animals and portraits as well as abstract pieces. Her tapestries are woven on handmade round and square looms. Working with artistic fibers in a variety of techniques allows her to express her ideas in truly unique ways.

Kendra enjoys bringing 3D into her woven artwork. In 2022, she was awarded runner-up Best 3D Art at Libertycon for her tapestry work, "Ginger Blues." Her work can be viewed on IG @ladycentaur358 and on FB under UniqueCrafts by Kendra  https://www.facebook.com/share/1G6hKFvU8s/ She currently lives in Chattanooga TN.
