You didn’t misread the title. Last year marked the final appearance of the consuite known as The Roadkill Café and Y’all Come Back Saloon. Bow your heads, for a staple of LibertyCon is no more. The café has been in operation at every in-person LibertyCon for decades. It even had a hand in our only virtual LibertyCon. Everyone at the con, from the newest attendees to the longest-running guests, could find good food, refreshing drinks, and a social atmosphere. And now it’s gone. The loss doesn’t feel quite right, does it?
Fear not, the consuite is returning. Just not in the same form, shape, or name as before, and is making its debut at LibertyCon 35/DeepSouthCon 61. Things are changing and we’re excited to have you experience the changes. Over the next several weeks, we’re going to highlight different aspects of the new and improved con suite. We’ll show you what kinds of food you’ll have a chance to sample, what our wonderful volunteers do, how we make sure you aren’t going to have an allergic reaction to the offerings, and many other surprises.
We can’t reveal everything right now and we can’t go into much detail this week. But we’ll lift the curtain just a little. Come on over and take a peek at our new name…
