Justin Watson

Author
Justin Watson was a field artilleryman in the United States Army for ten years. He deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. He doesn’t count his deployment to Kuwait, but his wife sure does. Medically retired from the Army due to wounds sustained in Iraq, he now lives in Houston with his wife, Michele, their four kids, and their dog, Brego. Justin has fostered a lifelong love for Science Fiction, Fantasy, and History, which eventually manifested in his own writing. His fiction often focuses on conflict—exploring internal character conflicts as well as external existential battles faced by soldiers in settings that are sometimes ultra-realistic and at other times utterly fantastical. In addition to numerous works of short fiction, Justin is the author, with Kacey Ezell and Tom Kratman, of the alternate history Romanov Reign Series of novels. The Romanov Rescue, and its sequel, 1919: The Romanov Rising, are available now at Baen.com and from all major booksellers.
