Let's explore the use of animal companions in SF/Fantasy/Horror fiction. How can they be used effectively, and what does it mean to anthropomorphize them -- or even let them talk? What does making a character a creature/animal contribute that can't be done otherwise, and where has it been done effectively? Randee Dawn moderates.
